There is no need to call the CGI script 2004 just because it is the last 
component of the path. Apache's ScriptAlias directive is capable enough to 
map it to something else. In my configuration I named the script yapc.pl 
(which can be constant across all distributions), and used the following 
directive to map it to /yapcom/:

ScriptAlias /yapcom/ /home/shlomi/progs/perl/yapcom/site/cgi/yapc.pl/
