Hmmm... you overestimate my Vim hacking skills. Vim syntax files tend to
be relatively hard-to-understand things and I have yet to have found a
need to edit them. Especially for Perl which is especially hard to get the
syntax right. I believe it is much easier to fix the Perl code than to
tweak the Vim syntax files. (and get it accepted by the corresponding
maintainer).
